The Irish Pretenders have had the good fortune to be able to entertain audiences around Western PA and MD for over 10 years with its unique blend of traditional Irish songs, rebel music, and Irish Pub sing-alongs. The band has played for festivals, pubs, parties, charity events, fundraisers, and general ruckus making! The Irish Pretenders have combined their diverse musical backgrounds with influences such as the Clancy brothers, Tommy Makem, and The Dubliners to create a fun, high energy show.

Hollidaysburg Area Arts Council is sponsoring a self guided Art Walk on Wednesday, June 13th from 6 to 8. Come out for a fun, entertaining, and enriching experience. Look at downtown Hollidaysburg with "kaleidoscope eyes". On the walk, you will see architecture, paintings, murals, a mosaic, sculptures and a garden, plus an opportunity to "meet and greet" the featured artist at the gallery. There will be an Arts Council member at each location to share information and answer questions. There will be 5-6 locations on the 500-400-300 block of Allegheny Street that will be showcased. Stop by 321 Art Gallery at 321 Allegheny Street to pick up the Art Walk map for the evening. Light refreshments will be served at 321 Gallery. Event is rain or shine.

Founded in 1928, the Gerhart String Ensemble has grown over the years to become a full orchestra. Once relying on community volunteers, even donating their own money to purchase music, the Symphony now employs over 75 professional musicians. The mission of the Altoona Symphony has always been to provide high-quality music to the residents of Central Pennsylvania. To this end, the Symphony has gained recognition for its musical diversity by performing both classical and popular works featuring talented local artists and nationally acclaimed musicians.
